Tara Scheyer 2013 summer camps
Piano Camp Mondays & Tuesdays in June & July
location: Tara Scheyer Music Studio, Augusta, GA
30 minute intervals from 9:30 – 4:30
$20 per lesson
These lessons are for kids age 5 & up at any playing level. It's piano camp as opposed to private lessons because there are usually two or three kids in the studio at a time, and the curriculum is more laid back than the regular school-year lessons. You will drop them off once a week for 30 minutes of:
1. piano lesson
2. piano "play" (craft/ piano games/ computer music theory)
3. snack

Ukulele Camp Tuesdays in June & July
location: Tara Scheyer Music Studio, Augusta, GA
groups meet at 9:00, 10:00, or 11:00 (pick one)
$10 per lesson
I need 5 kids per class in order to meet
If your kids are interested in playing guitar, ukulele camp is a great way to start them on a string instrument, and introduce chord reading, while being much easier on the fingers. The chord fingerings are different from guitar, but playing uke provides good experience in holding an instrument and gaining control over the fingers.
These lessons are for kids age 5 & up at any playing level. It's a group class setting. You will drop them off once a week for 30 minutes of:

Baby Bear Music Camp
Baby Bear Mini Music Camp (Ages: 6mo-2yrs)
July 15-19. 9:00-9:45 a.m.
Location: Fine Arts Center, GRU (formerly ASU), Augusta, GA
Instructor: Tara Scheyer
Tuition: $99
Grown-ups hold their babies as we sing, dance, and move together. Classes end with play time for the little ones. Each class lasts 45 minutes and is designed for a grown-up and baby to attend together. Includes daily infant snacks and a CD of original songs created for the class. $10 supply cost due to teacher at first class.
(Limit of 12 campers per class)

Silly Monkey Music Camp
Silly Monkey Mini Music Camp (Ages 2-4yrs)
Session 1
July 15-19. 10:00-10:45 a.m.

Tuition: $99
Campers play instruments, make instruments, learn musical terms, play music games and do LOTS of singing, dancing, jumping and wiggling! Each class lasts 45 minutes and designed for a grown-up to attend with the child. Includes crafts, snacks, and a CD of original songs created for the class. $20 supply cost due to teacher at first class.
